Surrealism in San Diego

Woke up at dawn in a hotel room there. Had totally crashed out the night before after working on a show, and having driven 120 miles to get there. This is what I saw.

Eventually I figured out that this was a re-created olde-time sailing ship that the city kept moored by the bay, but when i first stared at it, it was like something from the "Twilight Zone" - it just did not compute.

This is part of why I cannot bring myself to move, even though my rent is sky-high.

The other part is the breeze that comes through from the ocean five miles away.
